Government Agent Susan Ford has high praise for Queen Charlotte’s firefighters after an incident Jan. 28.
Around 2:15 pm, workers at the Government Agent’s building in Queen Charlotte, which houses social services as well as the government agent, smelled a strange odor, evacuated the building and called firefighters for help.
The firemen discovered a problem with the furnace that was causing carbon dioxide to enter the building.
The problem took about an hour and a half to solve and affected seven workers, says Ms Ford. BCBC will investigate the incident, she says.
