The first day back in the classroom went smoothly for schools on Haida Gwaii, district superintendent Angus Wilson said Tuesday (Sept. 3).However, the district will be making some staffing adjustments over the next week, he said, and a number of teaching and support positions will be posted.There are lots of exciting things happening in September, with everyone looking forward to the Vancouver Canucks's visit Sept. 10, Mr. Wilson said. The month also includes a "district day" at Tahayghen elementary and anti-bullying workshops, as well as a visit from northwest area school trustees, who are coming for a regional meeting.
