  • Nov. 2, 2005 2:00 p.m.

Cocaine, marijuana and $5,000 in cash were seized at a residence in Masset in the early morning hours of Sunday October 30.
“A search warrant was executed as a result of an investigation,” says Sergeant Jim Vardy of the Masset RCMP.
Four people were taken into custody at the residence during the bust.
Sgt. Vardy wants to remind drug users that there is plenty of addiction counselling available in the Masset area. He suggests those in need call the Northern Health Mental Health and Addictions counsellors at 626-6051 or the Old Masset Addictions counsellor at 626-3911.
Also in Masset, a man was arrested while trying to break into a vehicle on October 29. He has been charged.
A drunk driver was picked up on October 29 as well and taken to the detachment for a breath analysis.
