The Massett Open Golf Tournament was played over last weekend. We had a great turnout. The weather was nice for the first day and the second day was a little dismal but everybody still had a great time. The Dixon Entrance Golf Course would like to congratulate James Sawyer for his win of over-all low gross. Charlie Thompson was over-all low net. Way to go, boys. Also Fran Fowler won low gross for the women's flight. We had people from all over the island attend and it was quite enjoyable. Lunch was provided each day by the organizers and some of their wives, howa to them. Also a big howa to all the organizations and people who donated items for prizes. With the generosity of all the donors, the tournament was very well received. Everybody got to leave with something. We enjoyed a baked and stuffed spring salmon dinner Saturday night and lunch was good both days. These golf tournaments on island are always fun and a good outing for everyone.
