The Sandspit Harbour Society is looking for someone to fill an open position on its board of directors. The society held its annual general meeting January 25, and Don McNeice and Gord Usher were both appointed by the Moresby Island Management Committee and Travis Glasman by the Regional District. Duane Gould was re-elected, however a fifth and last seat remains open. "The meeting was fairly uneventful because the weather was terrible that night, there were approximately 15 people present" said Mr. Gould, "we acknowledged the appointments, and the elected board member, but are still trying to fill the last seat." Nominations for the position are now being accepted and reviewed by the board.Future meetings will address the financial status of the harbour as well as assess the maintenance, and its operation, as it approaches its tenth year of operation under the guidance of the society.
