Hawkair, the Terrace-based airline that briefly served the islands, is restructuring, citing higher fuel and security costs.
The airline will reduce its fleet to three Dash-8s and concentrate on fewer routes, including Prince Rupert-Vancouver and Terrace-Vancouver.
The airline pulled out of Masset earlier this year after just weeks of service. It once offered service to Sandspit as well.
