Husband elected to school board

Denise Husband has been elected as the South Area trustee on the Haida Gwaii school board, according to unofficial results.Ms Husband received 138 votes, while candidate Christine Martynuik received 115.The South Area includes Queen Charlotte, Miller Creek and Sandspit.The other four trustees on the islands school board have all been acclaimed: Reg Davidson for Old Massett, Harmony Williams for the North Area, Elizabeth Condrotte for the Central Area, and Kim Goetzinger for Skidegate.
