BC Hydro is looking into options for the future of its diesel generating plant in Sandspit."BC Hydro always plans ahead," said Dave Mosure, northern community relations coordinator. "We are looking at the existing station right now in terms of options to add or replace units and upgrade the powerhouse."As the existing generators reach the end of their service life, BC Hydro is considering whether capacity needs to be increased to meet future growth, Mr. Mosure said. Hydro will also be considering whether to renovate the existing plant or build a new powerhouse.
