It's official! There's going to be an incorporation referendum for residents of Queen Charlotte, Skidegate Landing and between.
It will happen Saturday April 9, with an advanced poll Wednesday March 30. Regional District administrator Janet Beil will oversee the election.
The minister of community services signed the order Wednesday January 26, said a ministry spokesperson.
The Queen Charlotte/Skidegate Landing Incorporation Study Committee will meet Monday evening to confirm dates for public information meetings as well as set dates for more informal gatherings for residents to discuss the pros and cons of incorporation.
