Masset RCMP assisted in a Liquor Control Board investigation over the last month, but could not give many details.
Cpl. Bob Isaacs says the assistance consisted of providing accommodation to the investigators where they could interview employees.
"It was about missing funds or product, that's all I know," said the corporal who had just returned from an extended holiday.
He says investigators were in Masset over the weekend and the investigation is still active until charges are forwarded to the crown.
Michelle Green, a liquor branch spokesperson in Vancouver, confirmed there is an ongoing investigation, but would offer no comment.
