Islander elected to provincial body

Submitted by Bunny Decembrini--The Seniors' Citizen Association of BC held its annual meeting in Houston May 13-15. Directors from many parts of the provinceattended. Houston Seniors' Association Br. 97 hosted the convention at the Seniors Activity Centre.The program included talks by RCMP Constable Roy Caswell, Fire Chief Ken Thomson, Recreation Therapist in training Kathy Knight, Pharmacist Rob New, and gardener Andy Pollock. All the speakers were very well received by the delegates.Members of the executive were installed after the Saturday banquet. They are as follows President Ron Decembrini, Port Clements; 1st Vice Bill Zmaeff, Revelstoke; 2nd Vice Gail Detta Burton; Directors Evelyn Cook, Princeton; Arnold Amonson, Houston; Secretary/Treasurer Warren Collinson, Cranbrook.The meeting closed with a banquet and dance with music by Country "N" Stuff.
