Joy rider thwarted

Three Port Clements residents pulled a joy rider off Highway 16 for his and everyone else's safety last Sunday afternoon.
The man had been driving south very erratically: weaving across the yellow line, slowing down and speeding up, witnesses told the police, so they pulled him off the road and prevented him from driving further, said Cst. Dave Dulude.
Police arrived on the scene at 5:45 pm, and found two intoxicated men in a stolen, blue 1995 Mercury, said Cst. Dulude.
The driver is charged with impaired driving, theft of a motor vehicle and driving without a license. The passenger is charged with being drunk in public, said Cst. Dulude.
