The return of the Kwuna has been delayed by a week.BC Ferries announced Friday morning that the Kwuna won't be back on the Skidegate-Alliford Bay run until Dec. 21. The Kwuna was originally scheduled to return from its 3/4 life capital upgrade on Dec. 16.A tug and barge service has been carrying passengers and vehicles on the 20-minute route between Graham and Moresby Islands since the ferry left for its refit on Sept. 15.The barge runs between 7 am and 8 pm, a shorter day than the Kwuna's usual schedule, but similar to the reduced schedule that is expected take effect on the route April 1.As recently as last week, we talked to BC Ferries and were assured the Kwuna refit was on schedule.
