Masset RCMP are asking for help from the public in tracking down a man wanted on weapons charges.
It all started when police were called at 3:30 am Saturday, and told a large crowd was gathering outside the post office on Main Street, after bar closing. One local male was confronting another with a machete, police say. The machete was being waved around but no one was hurt. The machete was later found hidden in the grass.
Police say they are having a problem getting witnesses to come forward, and urge anyone who saw the incident to do so for the good of the community. Call them at 626-3991.
