Masset hospital work is underway

  • Feb. 10, 2006 8:00 p.m.

Workers are busy clearing the site of the future Masset hospital and construction should start this spring, says village administrator Trevor Jarvis.
Advertising for bids from construction firms to build the hospital will be going out any day, he said, and the contract should be awarded by the end of March or the beginning of April.
The new hospital and health care building, to be built between Masset and Old Massett, is a joint project between the north-end communities and the Northern Health Authority.
