Masset pub re-opens Thursday

The Mile Zero pub in Masset was closed last week after its liquor licence was suspended for eight days as of Jan. 27.Liquor inspector Lynn Tryon of the liquor control and licencing branch in Terrace said the licence was suspended because inspectors from the mainland found an intoxicated person on the premises two nights in a row. The inspectors' visit occurred in June. The suspension affects only the pub, not the restaurant or liquor store.During the same visit, Ms Tryon said, inspectors found employees consuming liquor and liquor being removed from the premises at Player's Lounge in Masset, resulting in a three-day suspension which took place in the summer.
