Masset RCMP report

Submitted by the Masset RCMP–Masset RCMP dealt with and/or generated 19 files from 2004-December 31 at 6:30 pm hours till January 1 at 6:30 am. All the RCMP members were invited to and attended an evening dinner hosted by the Old Massett Volunteer Fire Department. Present were community Chiefs and Elders, OMV Councillors, and BC Ambulance.
24 hour suspension issued at the Yakoun River Inn in Port Clements
One person charged for open liquor in a vehicle in Port Clements
One adult male arrested for breaching his probation curfew in Old Massett
One male arrested in Old Massett for being drunk in public and urinating on the roadway in front of a police car.
One intoxicated male youth arrested for being drunk in public in Masset and returned to his residence.
24 hour roadside suspension issued to an impaired driver about to leave a local bar in Masset.
3 windows discovered smashed out at the local credit union and the post office. Someone then entered the post office lobby, then vomited and urinated on the floor.
3 bar checks conducted at the bars in Masset and Port Clements.
1 male transported to hospital by BC Ambulance and the Masset Volunteer Fire Dept after suffering a head injury from a fight outside a local bar in Masset. His brother was arrested and lodged in cells as a result of the assault on the person transported to hospital and for an additional assault on a female family member as well.
