Masset student selected for leadership week in New York

Masset high school student Kali Stonehouse is off to Columbia University in New York City next week to participate in a People to People Leadership Summit. The week-long summit, which begins July 27, brings together a select group of students to focus on leadership, team building, community service and professional aspirations, according to People to People organization. All students must meet rigorous academic and leadership requirements. Ms Stonehouse was nominated for the honour based on her outstanding scholastic merit, civic involvement and leadership potential, says a press release from the organization. The People to People program was founded by US President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956.
