Meeting still planned

Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Nathan Cullen still intends to meet with federal Transportation Minister Lisa Raitt to discuss how the feds might help coastal communities deal with ferry service cuts."We're still trying to line up a meeting. It's difficult sometimes and we weren't in Ottawa last week," said Hugh Pouliot, Mr. Cullen's legislative assistant.A month ago, Mr. Cullen told northwest media that even though BC Ferries falls under provincial jurisdiction, the federal government could have leverage because it provides an annual subsidy.
