Minimal ambulance service in QC, Skidegate for next ten days

Notice to residents of Queen Charlotte and SkidegateThe following information was provided to the Observer by a source we trust. The BC Ambulance Service is not making public any information about ambulance scheduling, probably because there is so little service available in Charlotte and Skidegate over the next couple of weeks.The following schedule shows that there is an ambulance available in Charlotte and Skidegate during the day only on Friday August 15, although there is service during the nights. Here’s the information we received:Queen Charlotte Ambulance will not be available during the following dates due to lack of Paramedic staffing. If there is a medical emergency the BC Ambulance Service will send Paramedics if available from another island community. If your family has a medical emergency help could be up to an hour or more away.
