MLA Gary Coons is busy this week reviewing his knowledge of local livestock, fruits and veggies as he prepares for his role as master of ceremonies at the Tlell Fall Fair this Sunday (Aug. 1).Mr. Coons said he's never attended the fall fair before (he's usually here for the Edge of the World music festival, held the next weekend), and is looking forward to his hosting duties. As a former teacher, he said, he's used to doing homework and he'll be doing his research before he takes to the stage in Tlell."Of course, I've got to brush up on fall fair MC tactics," he said. "It looks like it's going to be a fun-filled day."Mr. Coons said he's also looking forward to meeting with any islanders to hear about their issues or concerns.
