North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice will be on the islands next week to take in the Edge of the World Music Festival and North Beach. Ms Rice will be arriving by ferry the evening of Aug. 8 and spending the weekend in Tlell at the music festival, her office staff said. She will then be heading to North Beach for a few days, until Aug. 13. The MLA will be available to talk to islanders while she is here. Look for her at the music festival, or call her office to set up an appointment at 1-866-624-7734. It’s been a busy summer for the MLA, who just returned to Prince Rupert from the Qatuwas canoe festival in Bella Bella and the Bella Coola Valley music festival.
