New ferry construction begins

The official keel-laying ceremony for the Northern Adventure took place in Flensburg, Germany on Monday. The 150-metre vessel is BC Ferries’ newest, and is to replace the 42-year old Queen of Prince Rupert. The new ship will accommodate 130 vehicles and 600 passengers. It’s to start service in the spring of next year.
