We've waited well over a month now for the first baby born on the islands in 2003 and have come up withÂ…Tlell 29F Garfy 1N. That's his name, and he was born January 13, 10:30 am, at the Richardson Ranch in Tlell. A nice birth weight, too- 94 pounds! Proud mom is Tlell 75A Bonnie 6K, her second calf!
This calf could be a rocker, as its dad is CS Boomer 29J, co-owned Tennessee River Music, Inc, and Randy Owen of the band Alabama.
Garfy should grow to be over 1,400 lbs. at this time next spring, when he will be sold at auction in Vanderhoof. Don't feel too sorry- after that his sole job will be to get all the cows in his new herd pregnant!
