Old Massett elder celebrates

  • Mar. 26, 2008 4:00 p.m.

On Friday March 28, one of Massett’s most cherished elders celebrates 85 years of living.Chinnii Stephen Brown is an avid fishermen, and a great dancer. He’s got a razor wit, and his stories are history come alive. He plays one mean saxophone. And these days he is probably best known for his extraordinary and constant dedication to revitalizing the Haida language. The potluck and music jam starts at 5pm at the Driftwood Lounge. Bring some, your own plates, an instrument if you have one, and dress ‘evening’ for Chinnii. 626-3464 for more information.
