An open house for people with mental illness in their families is happening in Queen Charlotte on Monday Aug. 29."I really encourage people to come and talk, and see the resources we have available," said coordinator Wendy Watts. Ms Watts is holding the open house to support people who have mental illness in their family, and to find out what the community needs. It's at the mental health building, 302 Second Ave., from 11 am to 2 pm.She's looking forward to seeing people, and hearing their stories.There are books on mental illnesses at the building that can be taken out on loan. "I encourage people to use the resources and to talk to me," said Ms Watts. She's available Mondays and Thursday. 559-0058.
