Sue and Jags Brown of Skidegate let us know that they received an email from Eli Andersen, the Oregon surfboarder who is attempting to paddle a surfboard all the way around Graham Island. Mr. Andersen sent the Browns a note on Aug. 24, saying that he made it to Port Louis from Langara Island before a southwester blew in. He also said that he was doing well, that the paddling had been generally good with some big water, and that he had been catching rockfish along the way. Mr. Andersen is hoping to make it back to Skidegate, completing his journey, by the long weekend.
