Masset mayor Barry Pages and councillor Rollie Wheeler have both put their names forward as mayoral candidates in the Nov. 19 municipal election.
Mr. Pages has been mayor of the village since winning a by-election in early 2001. He was acclaimed in the last municipal election three years ago. His opponent, Mr. Wheeler, has been a councillor for the past three years.
Masset voters will also be able to choose from a field of eight candidates for the four council seats. Current council members Janet Brown and Ed Woode are running again, joined by Brent Arden Buell, Brian Bussiere, Brian John Gray, Bret Johnston, Marlene Liddle, and Paul Patrick Powers.
