It's time to break out the rollerblades! The massive paving project stretching from Port Clements to near Skidegate has been completed on-time, on-budget, and without a hitch, according to Ministry of Transportation Supervisor Bob Petho.
"The contractor met all their own expectations," he said, and the whole project went smoothly.
Following an inspection last Friday, the maintenance contractor for the islands and the local highways manager have officially assumed responsibility for the highway, he said.
"Everything has been done to their satisfaction," he said, "they didn't even have any complaints. They were very pleased."
