Please be flexible, regional district asks

Skeena-Queen Charlotte Regional District directors voted at their December meeting to submit two resolutions to this year's Union of BC Municipalities convention. The first resolution requests that the UBCM urge the provincial government to give the BC Assessment Authority more flexibility when it comes to assessing properties in rural BC.The second resolution reflects the regional district's concern about the large number of LNG projects that are being proposed for the north coast. The resolution requests the UBCM to urge the provincial government to develop a plan to provide immediate and meaningful assistance to local governments in northwestern BC to address the capacity issues that many are experiencing.
