  • May. 20, 2013 5:00 a.m.

Masset RCMP are asking for help in their investigation of a stolen purse. It was taken from an unlocked car Sunday afternoon (May 19). The purse is described as brown suede with a shoulder strap. Inside is a wine-colored eel skin wallet, about $350 in cash and a cheque. In the past month, Masset RCMP have received an increased number of calls relating to property offences. Police urge citizens to lock all vehicles and buildings, as they are easy targets for theft if left unsecured. If you know the identities of any suspects, or have any information about this incident or any other crime, please call the RCMP at 626-3991. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. You do not have to leave your name, address or telephone number. You do not have to testify in court. A cash reward of up to $2,000 will be paid for any information which leads to an arrest and charge.
