Islands leaders will be gathering in Port Clements next Monday afternoon for their first protocol meeting in some time.The meeting is open to the public and will be held at the Port community hall, starting at 1:30 pm on Monday, Feb. 22.As of our deadline, there were no items on the agenda, said Port administrator Heather Nelson-Smith. Community leaders can add whatever they want to the agenda and it will be discussed at the meeting.The protocol agreement is a document which has been signed between all communities on the islands and the Council of the Haida Nation. It commits them to cooperation, respect and open discussion.
