A car fire at the Fisheries Office in Queen Charlotte Wednesday afternoon was extinguished by the volunteer fire department within five minutes of the call.The vehicle, which belonged to Queen Charlotte resident Gilless Pineault of On The Spot Welding, was destroyed. "We had an eight member team, which is standard for call-outs," says QC Vounteer Fire Chief Larry Duke. "The car was used to transport welding equipment but I have no idea what ignited the fire," he said. There was some construction activity going on at the site but no other damage was reported.
