QC clutch klutz causes three-car accident

A fender bender on Wharf St. in Queen Charlotte on Wednesday January 8 caused between $2,000 and $3,000 damage to three cars says Sgt. Darcy Gollan.
A driver tried to clutch-start his truck while backing out of the parking space in front of Deez Deli, but the truck didn't start. In the process, the truck then clipped the rear of another truck passing along Wharf St., then rolled into a car parked in front of the Legion.
No one was injured, and no charges will be laid, but the car has been taken off the road pending inspection at an ICBC approved facility.
In the late afternoon of the same day, police received a complaint of shots fired after dark in Tlell. With witness information, police were able to identify the hunter's vehicle and track it down in Queen Charlotte.
Police questioned the four individuals in the vehicle and determined that one shot was fired after dark, but did not determine who shot it.
Police advise that they will increase patrols in the Tlell area, and have also notified conservation officers.
