QC man charged after stabbing

A Queen Charlotte man has been charged with aggravated assault after another man was stabbed last Thursday night, says RCMP Sgt. Rob Knapton. Sgt. Knapton said the victim was taken to hospital for treatment. The incident happened in Queen Charlotte and was reported around 11 pm on Thursday Oct. 22. The suspect will be appearing in provincial court on Dec. 8. Queen Charlotte police dealt with several other calls during the week of Oct. 19, Sgt, Knapton said, including:. A call about a man throwing fireworks at a building in Queen Charlotte the afternoon of Oct. 23. Sgt. Knapton said police responded and spoke to the man, who agreed to stop.. Police are investigating a complaint that an adult male assaulted an adult female in Skidegate on Oct. 23.. Police responded to a call about a disturbance on Third Avenue in Queen Charlotte the night of Oct. 21. They arrested a man for breaching the peace and held him at the detachment until he was sober, Sgt. Knapton said.. A new driver received a 12-hour driving prohibition after he was found to have consumed alcohol during a random road check at Telus Point in the early morning hours of Oct. 24. Sgt. Knapton said new and learning drivers are not allowed to drink any alcohol whatsoever.
