submitted by Lorelee Parker-The Teen Friends of the Library are thrilled to announce that two amazing rock 'n read chairs (also a feature at the Museum of Modern Art in New York), have arrived at the Queen Charlotte Branch of the Vancouver Island Regional Library.Shantal Bateham and Catherine Garrett would like to say a huge howaa to all the generous folk who helped make this heart of their new teen lounge at the library happen: the Gwaii Trust, Northern Savings Credit Union, Literacy Haida Gwaii, and those shy private donors (you know who you are!) who started the ball rolling.We do not think there is a more comfortable or a cooler chair to be found on Haida Gwaii, and we invite everyone to come on down and give one a try!
