Reservoirs low in Port

Hot, dry weather earlier this month drained Port Clements water system reservoirs to about half their usual level, administrator Terry McMullon told council members at their July 4 meeting.
Mr. McMullon warned the water level was "extremely low" and that the village might have to call for voluntary restrictions if the dry weather continued. Continued pressure on the system might also force the village to use another well.
"If the situation arises where it goes much lower, we would have to go to well number two, which requires immediate chlorination," he said.
