The deadline's fast approaching for permanent residents of Canada to apply for their Permanent Resident Card (PR card), a photo identification card all permanent residents must have to re-enter Canada if they leave the country.
The application requires permanent residents to account for their whereabouts and activities for the last five years (or since coming to Canada for anyone who arrived after 1998), provide proof of identity and photographs, and $50 per application. Children are also required to have the PR card.
