Robert Davidson to receive honorary degree from UBC

The University of British Columbia has announced that it will be giving an honorary degree to artist Robert Davidson in late May.
Mr. Davidson is an internationally-recognized Haida artist, a master carver, sculptor, printmaker, painter and jeweller. He has already received the Order of Canada, the Order of BC and the National Aboriginal Achievement Award.
UBC will be giving honorary degrees to eight individuals. Besides Mr. Davidson, they include David Dodge, governor of the Bank of Canada, and Martha Piper, former president of UBC.
