Robert Davidson wins another award

Robert Davidson has won another award, this one worth $30,000 from Vancouver’s Audain Foundation. The prestigious visual-arts prize is presented for lifetime achievement in the visual arts. Mr. Davidson, of Old Massett and White Rock, received it May 12 at the Vancouver Art Gallery. He recently won a 2010 Governor General’s award as well. The Audain Foundation promotes visual arts in BC, and is a contributor to the Bill Reid Gallery in Vancouver. The prize awarded to Mr. Davidson is an annual award to senior artists (Mr. Davidson is 63) juried by their peers.
