Roof repairs won't cost district

Repairs to the leaking roof at Skidegate's Sk'aadgaa Naay school will be covered by the province, and won't cost the local school board anything.
That's because an estimate shows the work will cost more than $25,000, which means it will be paid for under a provincial insurance program.
The roof likely has been leaking since the school opened in 1999. It has damaged the photocopy room.
School board officials are currently waiting for a report about how to proceed with the repairs.
