Queen Charlotte students heading into their second year of post-secondary education will be able to apply for a new $500 scholarship from the village.Council made a resolution to offer the prize to students in their second year of schooling, because as councillor Kris Olsen pointed out, first-year scholarships are abundant. But, as mayor Carol Kulesha said at the March 2 meeting, finding funds for the next year is a challenge.The scholarship is not assigned to any particular discipline, said councillor Gladys Noddin. Students should enquire at the village office for more details.
