School Board concerned about Kwuna capacity

The school board will be writing to BC Ferries about the new rule limiting passengers on the Kwuna to 36.Superintendent of Schools Angus Wilson told the board the change will cause issues for our students. Documentation in the board package indicated the change "may cause significant problems for students attending school, cultural events or sports. We may have students stranded or cancel various events due to the reduction in capacity".Mr. Wilson will write to Ferries on behalf of the board outlining its concerns, so Ferries can "take these issues into consideration as they determine staffing levels on the vessel."
