It's official. The name of the islands school district has changed to School District No. 50 - Haida Gwaii.The change became official as soon as the order of the Lieutenant Governor in Council was signed by Education Minister Margaret MacDiarmid and Pat Bell, the president member of the executive council, on Sept. 2.The previous name of the school district was Haida Gwaii/Queen Charlotte.
