School trustees voted April 24 to ratify a new collective agreement with CUPE local 2020, the union that represents education assistants, secretaries and other support staff. Superintendent Angus Wilson said the agreement, which expires June 30 of this year, does not contain a wage increase and will have no significant cost to the district as it was negotiated under the “net zero mandate”. The agreement must now be ratified by CUPE and the BC Public School Employers Association.
