The Ministry of Education has released its review of the Haida Gwaii/Queen Charlotte school district, and says that while the district provides innovative learning opportunities, it needs to build stronger partnerships with the Haida people.
The review team, made up of parents, educators and ministry staff, recommended that this district include the Haida people in all discussions related to education, especially when hiring district and school leaders. The team also suggested the district look at why male and female students are not having equal academic success.
