School district support staff on the isalnds have reached a four-year contract agreement with the province, Minister of Education Carole Taylor announced Tuesday.
The agreement covers 57 support workers who are members of he Canadian union of Public Employees (CUPE). The include teachers' aides and staff who provide administrative, maintenance and trades-related services.
CUPE Local 2020 members on the islands will vote on the agreement over the next few weeks.
