The junior girls volleyball team at George M Dawson began their season mid September. The team practised hard in September and October and were fortunate to attend a tournament in Terrace at the beginning of November.
The girls played extremely well and ended up winning their first three games against Skeena, Kitimat, and Smithers Secondary Schools. This placed them in the finals against the host team Thornhill Secondary School. The game went to the third set, but in the end the girls ended up finishing second out of the twelve teams that attended. Unfortunately the season has come to an end but coaches Lisa Accardo and Stephen Feist, along with all the athletes, are excited to see what next season will bring.
