Eric Groenendyk,45, will be charged with at least 10 counts of unsafely storing and handling a firearm, following an 11-hour armed standoff in Port Clements January 13 and 14.
Police seized 5 firearms from Mr. Groenendyk after the stand off outside his residence on in Port Clements. He was released following his arrest and is now believed to have left the islands, said Masset police Sgt. Andrew Isles.
He is due in court in Masset on April 20.
