Shooting threats land QC man in jail

A Queen Charlotte man is being held in the police lockup, following a serious incident the evening of Nov. 11.
Police arrested the man after he threatened to shoot his former common-law spouse. He will remain in jail until his appearance in court on Tuesday Nov. 18. Alcohol was a factor, according to Queen Charlotte RCMP.
The man is charged with uttering threats and breach of recognizance. The judge will decide if he will remain in custody or not. Past incidents will be a factor in the decision. Police do not consider him a threat to the public.
Also in Queen Charlotte, police are hearing reports of youths in combat gear shooting paint balls at people and property. They ask anyone with information or a complaint to please call at 559-4421.
And in Skidegate, police pulled over an impaired, underage Skidegate woman driving a stolen vehicle in the early morning of Friday Nov. 14. She entered a home, stole the car keys, and then took the car for a drive. Police are investigating to determine what charges she will face.
